Firefox Extensions: FireFTP
I’ve stumbled upon this nice firefox extension, it is a FTP client fully integrated into Firefox web browser, and most of all, like other firefox extensions, it is totally free. This is the extension’s home page, or you can get the extension at mozilla add-on page. This extension is only 102kb, and it is again platform independent.
Here’s a screenshot of it.

After installing the extension, you will find it under your “Tools” menu. You will need to use the “Manage Accounts” button on the most upper-left corner, in order to manage your FTP login information (host, username, password etc).

I do not recommend to store your passwords inside FireFTP. In Preferences > General > Sessions, you should make sure that “Remember Passwords” checkbox is always unchecked.
FireFTP, is another alternative for gFTP for Linux users. Most probably it is the only free ftp client program you can get in windows. You can find very detailed supports here. Credits go to Mime ÄŒuvalo.

Yes, Fireftp is nice. But it is absurd for you to say it is might be the only free FTP for Windows. Windows has a huge number of free (and I mean free, not shareware or adware) applications in almost every category. There are probably dozens of free FTP utilities for Windowd, including Filezilla which is not only free but GPL just as an example.
