This is my second post regarding this incident. I have previously posted an entry here. Rocky a.k.a Ahirudin Atan has made his appearance on court, and this is what he’s posted in his blog.

“That the parties agree to henceforth not publish any article, comment or post regarding the dispute presently before the High Court in this action that may be regarded as sub judice or that may prejudice the fair trial of the action.”

Hm, how to put this? As a Malaysian, how do you think of law system in the country? In term of “not stirring the water again”, let’s just wait and see. Keep your eyes sharp, and your mind true. Kean-Jin Lim is keeping a long list of “What bloggers have to say“, you might get different ideas there.

As usual, I’ve upgraded as soon as I could to the latest version of WordPress. Now they have a code name for each release, this 2.1 release is “Ella”, named after jazz vocalist “Ella Fitzgerald”, not that I care though. There are 550 bugs fixed so far until this version, detailed listing can be found here.

There are tons of new features in this version. Following features grabbed my attention the most.

• Autosave makes sure you never lose a post again. (Awesome Ajax feature without loading the page again like you manually save and continue editing.)
• Our new tabbed editor allows you to switch between WYSIWYG and code editing instantly while writing a post.
• New search engine privacy option allows you take you to indicate your blog shouldn’t ping or be indexed by search engines like Google.
• You can set any “page” to be the front page of your site, and put the latest posts somewhere else, making it much easier to use WordPress as a content management system.

Azureus is a Java BitTorrent client, that’s platform independent, as long as you have Java Runtime Environment installed. Be sure that you have JRE installed for this program to work. You can refer to this post of mine, to get JRE installed on your Debian box.

Now this is a sad news to tell. Two famous and well recognized bloggers, Jeff Ooi at Screenshots, and Ahiruddin Attan at Rocky’s Bru, are being sued over defamation by a local newspaper New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Berhad, along with several individuals, Kalimullah bin Masheerul Hassan, Hishamuddin bin Aun and Brenden John a/l John Pereira. I have to admit that this blog you are reading now, is a failure. The result I’m getting from this blog is not what I wanted. I follow the old school way, I make this more like an online journal, I post entries about stuffs that I’ve tried, things that I like. Debian GNU Linux is apparently the thing I like most and willing to discuss about. I did not expect a huge respond when I decided to start out this blog, seriously Linux is not a common topic, compared to everything else out there on the Internet.

It looks funny to me, as this blog is ranking 394,279 on Alexa today. As I said I did not expect this, average 100 unique visitors per day and it is still climbing. I have a total of 54 posts in this blog, and guess what? 18 comments so far, and I believe some of those comments were my replies to previous comment posters. Now HOW SAD IS THIS?? I have to whine, really.
