You think about it.
Yeah, a post before bed time. Now this might be an offensive post, but I keep thinking about it. I’m a fast reader, I skim through words pretty fast, but this article “What’s wrong with Microsoft?”, has made me read slowly, and twice.
A quote for you here.
the biggest problem with Microsoft, is the users they create
This hits the nail on the head so hard, I can’t find a better way to describe the problem. Every now and then, you get spams. Where? In your mailbox, on websites you visit, in instant messages you get from messengers, almost EVERY Internet communication channels.
Let me show you some examples.
-
Email spams
Some commonly seen spam mails.- I have a deceased client, who deposited 10Mil USD in the bank I’m currently working in. I’m looking for a trustworthy partner……bla bla and bla.
- Your loan has been approved; Get instant loan; Bad credit? No worries!…..bla bla and bla.
- The famous GIF attachment spam, the text in emails are meaningless, what they advertise is in a GIF image attachment
-
Website spams
- Comment form spams. Mostly forums, blogs, portals that allow users to comment on topics.
- Private Message spams. THIS IS THE MOST INTOLERABLE OF ALL! Why? Because this is something that initiated by mindless pranksters, and CONTINUED by clueless users. For example, in the famous friendster website. You will get private messages from your own network, normally with content like “FWD>>FWD>>This is confirmed by Friendster web support team, your account will be deleted if this message does not get forwarded to 10 of your friends. To your activity in the site”. How on earth can people fall into that? Sad to tell, my friends in friendster do.

Instant Messenger spams
This can be funny. When your friend chat with you in ICQ, MSN or Yahoo, a line of URL always followed after the line of message he/she intended to send.
Now all listed above are those I’ve experienced with, believe me there are still countless of spams out there for you to discover. Most of these spams are generated from viruses, malwares, or trojans that clueless computer users somehow installed on their machines. These malicious softwares not only just spam, many of them will collect user information and send it to the original creator of it, aka the cracker.
The websites you visit, the keystrokes you input in each of the websites will be logged somewhere in your computer, waiting to be sent to the mastermind.
So, being a clueless computer user, can be harmful to others, and yourself. Stop being a “Click and Go” kind of computer user, learn to protect yourself and others today. You think about it.

I have to say, that I could not agree with you in 100% regarding , but it’s just my opinion, which could be wrong
