Tab browsing in web browsers has been widely used in recent days. This is another useful firefox extension for you to preview opened tabs in a thumbnail popup, so you can close particular tab window without actually go into it and see what’s inside.
Here’s a screenshot.

I wonder how many of you out there subscribe to digg.com? I am a big fan of some of their technology related categories. It is useful when you get to know what’s happening out there in the industry everyday, it will also help you in a few blog topics occasionally.
Digg.com has recently released their API to the public, intended to boost the acceptance of the service to another level. Smart Digg Button is one of the many useful tools based on Digg’s API.

This is another awesome firefox plugin free for you. FoxTorrent is a Bit Torrent client embedded in Firefox. It detects all the *.torrent files when you browse, and if you click on one particular torrent file, it will start download for you automatically.
A screenshot of the FoxTorrent Web UI.

I wonder if any of you reading this still IRC? I was looking for free IRC client for my laptop, on Windows XP. The first came in my mind was Xchat, since it has been serving on my Debian box for years now. Unfortunately, they are charging $19.99 USD for Windows version, I wonder why is it. Plan B, ChatZilla. I used to have this along with Mozilla suite on Debian last time, did a bit of looking and yes, it is available as an extension of Firefox on Windows.
Get the extension here. “Install Now” button should do all the work.

I have over dozens of blogs that I enjoy reading everyday. It can be a pain when I actually browse them one by one, thankfully we have something called RSS. It allows us to fetch excerpt of articles from different sites together, skimming through them, and click on your desired article title to view the full content. Some bloggers/webmasters prefer to deliver their feeds in full, some in excerpt.
Now, I’m going to recommend another Firefox extension, Sage. I like firefox extensions because most of them are very light weight. This sage extension is only 135kb. As usual, install it and restart your firefox browser. There is more to learn.
