Latest version of Ubuntu has been released on 16th April 2007. Download here. Just for your information, they are having some world parties around the world, to celebrate this release. Hmm.
Please be noticed that, Ubuntu is a Debian derivative. Not much of you out there have learned about this. If you need something stronger and more stable, please get Debian. Newbies, ubuntu is your choice.

I didn’t know Sun Java JRE(Java Runtime Environment) has been added into Debian Unstable Repository. Today, when I wanted to upgrade my JRE(previous version was installed manually), I stumbled upon a package name “sun-java5-jre” in Synaptic. Whoa, immediately I read all the description and dependencies. Yes, this package is indeed the Sun Java JRE version packaged in .deb. It is a non-free package, so make sure your apt source list have included “non-free” section.
These are the packages you need to get in order to have a working JRE on your system(unstable).
You will need to answer to License Agreement during the installation. Just answer OK for it.

This is very big surprise to me, check out this IEs4Linux! A godsend!
Especially if you are big linux fan, yet need to worry about web pages layouts in Internet Explorer. This is your saviour.
Okay here’s how it starts. Use your synaptic, aptitude, or even apt-get to get these package.
