Firefox Extensions: Save As Image, save any web page as image.

For the blogging need, we will run into web pages that we want to screenshot it entirely from time to time. I usually use KSnapshot on my debian desktop, or ALT+PrintScreen on windows laptop. Both work well except the fact that, they capture the whole screen.

Save As Image is a neat extension, that lets you save any particular web page into image, so you don’t have to further edit the screenshot to remove the browser window, and window tabs.

Firefox Extensions: Tab Scope, preview web page in tabs.

Tab browsing in web browsers has been widely used in recent days. This is another useful firefox extension for you to preview opened tabs in a thumbnail popup, so you can close particular tab window without actually go into it and see what’s inside.

Firefox Extension: Smart Digg Button

I wonder how many of you out there subscribe to digg.com? I am a big fan of some of their technology related categories. It is useful when you get to know what’s happening out there in the industry everyday, it will also help you in a few blog topics occasionally.

Digg.com has recently released their API to the public, intended to boost the acceptance of the service to another level. Smart Digg Button is one of the many useful tools based on Digg’s API.

Firefox Extension: ChatZilla

I wonder if any of you reading this still IRC? I was looking for free IRC client for my laptop, on Windows XP. The first came in my mind was Xchat, since it has been serving on my Debian box for years now. Unfortunately, they are charging $19.99 USD for Windows version, I wonder why is it. Plan B, ChatZilla. I used to have this along with Mozilla suite on Debian last time, did a bit of looking and yes, it is available as an extension of Firefox on Windows.
